Gregory Kramer Insight Dialogue: The Immediate Experience of Metta July 24-29 5 nights $300 ($150 deposit) Dana During this retreat, we will engage together in silent meditation, traditional internal lovingkindness meditation, and Insight Dialogue. The emphasis of this retreat will be metta, or lovingkindness, as it spontaneously arises when the heart is relaxed and open. When we speak and listen to each other with mindfulness, we are offering kindness and care. The words we share or hear may express pain or our insight, but they are offered, and received, as a beacon of generosity and care across the apparently vast space between us. As we drop into meditation together, this offering and receiving becomes easier; we become adept at receiving and offering care, diligence, and wisdom. We then see that this vast space was an illusion, formed and sustained by ignorance. Just maybe, the space dissolves, experience becomes simple, and, with mutual support, we experience release. Continuing Education credits will be available to Mental Healthcare workers. Call Southern Dharma for details. An ongoing meditation practice or previous retreat experience would be useful as background for this retreat.
