In the beautiful and peaceful setting of Southern Dharma we remember to come back to ourself, our true self, and celebrate the reflections of beauty, harmony and love we experience. We will "sweep the heart" and "polish the mirror" to welcome the experience of the Divine Presence. Through meditation and simple sacred practices with sound, breath and movement, we re-orient our attention to fulfill the promise of the Qur’an "Wheresoever you turn, there is the face of Allah".
This short retreat will have opportunities for sharing and time to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature surrounding us.
No experience necessary, everyone is welcome.
Zakira Beasley traveled on the path of the Sufi all her adult life. Her lineage includes the universal Sufism of Hazrat Inayat Kahn, the joyful transmission of Samuel Lewis, Zen Master and originator of the Dances of Universal Peace, Vipassana practice, and most recently a traditional Sufi order centered in Morocco. She has worked in the corporate arena for many years and lives with her husband in Virginia.
