Giving Tuesday is an international movement that annually harnesses the spirit of service and giving back. This year, as SDRC prepared to participate in Giving Tuesday for the second time, we were inspired by the title…Giving Tuesday.
We’ve had a dynamic year on the mountain. It’s been heartwarming to see the dedication of seasoned practitioners who return year after year to SDRC. It’s also been exciting to welcome new yogis taking the courageous leap into retreat practice. As a thanks to each of you and our generous teachers, we wish to give back on Giving Tuesday.
Below are short guided practices and Dharma conversations with some of the teachers you’ve come to know. Feel free to dive into a topic that interests you or treat the entire day as a retreat and listen to the videos throughout! However you choose to show up and participate, may this be of benefit and may your practice continue to flourish in every way.
The teachings were offered, compiled and shared freely. We encourage you to share them. We also encourage all who come in contact with them to pause and deeply explore the practice of generosity toward self and others. Gregory Kramer, cofounder and president of the Metta Foundation, said that the practice of dana or generosity is a form of participatory intelligence. In offering dana we are intentional in making way or holding space for the teachings, the teachers and the places that support the teachings.
