[ONLINE] The Path of Service: An At Home Insight Meditation Retreat
David Chernikoff
October 6 - 8, 2023
Compassionate action plays a central role in all of the world’s great wisdom traditions. Given the experience we’ve all lived through in the past several years and the current state of our beautiful blue-green planet, an inner imperative to serve is burning brightly in a lot of hearts. In this retreat, each participant will be invited to explore a simple and powerful question: How can I help? The practices of sitting and walking meditation in silence will be a major part of our time together. There will also be dharma talks, experiential exercises, and opportunities for discussion. In a caring, supportive learning environment, we’ll each tap into our inner guidance about how to be an instrument of benefit in a world that is desperately calling out for love and wisdom.
Group sessions will be held on Zoom. Live sessions begin at 7:30pm ET on Friday, continue on Saturday from 7:15am – 8:30pm ET, and conclude at 12:30pm ET on Sunday. Dial-in options and captioning are available.

For our 2023 retreats, three fee tiers are offered. Please choose the option that best fits your ability to give in this time. Any amount paid above the Base rate is a tax deductible contribution to Southern Dharma Retreat Center. Your confirmation email is your receipt for tax purposes.
We are deeply grateful for your support.
Note that registration fees do not include dana for the teacher(s). In the Buddhist tradition the teachings are offered freely and teachers are not paid for their offerings. They rely on dana contributions from students. Similarly, Southern Dharma keeps registration fees low to ensure the Dharma is accessible to all. Fees cover only a fraction of Southern Dharma’s operating expenses. We appreciate your practice of generosity to continue the dissemination of the Dharma.
Southern Dharma provides session recordings to participants who are joining from more than 3 time zones away. Please be sure to indicate that you are interested in this option during the registration process.
We are now offering 50% scholarship awards for BIPOC and Young Adults, in addition to those with financial need. Indicate your interest in a Southern Dharma in-house scholarship during the registration process.
